ARTIST

Marjorie Taylor is a professional artist creating art in her home studio at Owl Hollow and studio 214 at Millworks. Millworks is a former Mill turned restaurant featuring 40 regional artist studios, an Art Gallery, a full bar, a Brewery & farm-fresh local fare located in Harrisburg, PA

She attended UCSD, majoring in fine art, and has taken many art classes over the years. She started her art career doing murals and faux finishing at The Decorative Art Studio, which she founded in 1998. She was selected to paint murals for several Harrisburg Symphony Showhouses. After starting a family, she dabbled in glass mosaic and traveled to Venice, Italy, for a workshop at Orsoni Glass.

Her list of interests includes but is not limited to:

Natural history books and museums, old botanical books, insects of all kinds-(even the icky ones), birds, nature, beekeeping, antiques, castles, British murder mysteries, travel, gardens, living vicariously through her three adventurist daughters, dogs, yoga and long walks in nature with her husband of twenty-five years.
